Wedding
Pavlos & Eirini
A wedding under the trees

Eirini was already in her dress, sitting with a blue pen and writing on the sole of her shoe. She was smiling the whole time, and I made sure not to miss a single line. This was her wedding day with Pavlos.
In a living room, Pavlos was getting dressed with four others around him. One held his cuff, another was sorting out his shirt, and the two at the ends looked straight at my lens. With that many hands on one shirt, nothing was going to be left crooked. Nearby, a beige suit hung ready, the tie already in place with a clip and a little chain.
The ceremony was outdoors, under tall green trees. Wearing their wedding crowns, Eirini and Pavlos walked hand in hand beside the priest while rice came down from every direction. Her bouquet had orange and peach flowers with sprigs of pampas grass.
Later the two of them sat under the branches at the edge of a lawn and kissed, her bouquet resting in her lap.
Their first dance was under a row of string lights, in front of a curtain of tiny lights behind the main table. A few guests had stood up to watch. Eirini had one arm around Pavlos's neck and, with the other hand, pointed a finger up to the sky.
