Wedding
Manos & Zoi
A wedding that ended up on the shore

Zoi is sitting barefoot on a wooden chair, a make-up brush in one hand and a small mirror in the other. Behind her, hanging in the window, the wedding dress waits patiently for its turn. That is how Zoi and Manos's wedding begins.
On the groom's side, the white shirt was already on, and a man in glasses leaned in to help with the buttons. Manos let him get on with it and kept his eyes down, making sure not a single button was left out.
In the church, among the icons and the candles, Zoi held a bouquet of white roses. Manos stood beside her in a black suit and bow tie, a small sprig of flowers on his lapel.
The couple's portraits were taken by the sea. Manos took his shoes off and the two of them lay down on the sand right where the water comes in, the dress spread out around them. The dress picked up a little sand, which is the price of pictures like these.
Further along the shore they sat on the rocks, a little boy dressed in white on Zoi's lap. In front of them, a still pool of water reflected all three.
